1.  When do I get tickets for the show?
NOW!!!

2. Will there be gifts to give to the actors?
Yes, there will be gift items available in the social hall prior to the show.  Parents and guests will be able to purchase items for their actor.

3. What are Tech Week rehearsals and how late are they?
The week before the show is called Tech Week and rehearsals will be in the evening and will run late, probably 11 p.m. The contract emphasized the importance of this week when it stated “failure to be present for these rehearsals will prevent me from performing in the show.” Working out the kinks before show time is critical for a high quality performance.

4. Can I take pictures or videotape during the performances?
NO! No photography, video, or audio recordings are allowed!

5. Does everyone go out following each evening performance?
No! No matter what your child says, “everybody” does not go out. Some go; some don’t. Most are exhausted! You decide.

6. What is “strike” and when is it?
Strike is returning the theatre to its original condition after the final performance. Everyone must help with this task; no one will be allowed to leave until the theatre is in impeccable order. All scripts, costumes and props, must be returned before the students leave the church.
EVERYONE HELPS!!!!

Glossary of Basic terms:

Strike - In theater, "strike" is a term that refers to the process of removing sets, props, costumes, lights, and sound equipment from the stage after a production has closed. The term can also refer to the deconstruction of sets during rehearsals and previews to make adjustments or when design elements aren't working as expected.

Technical week - (also called tech week, tech, techweek, production week) is the week prior to the opening night of a play, musical or similar production in which all of the technical elements (such as costumes, lights, sound, set and makeup) are present during rehearsal for the first time.

Sitzprobe - A sitzprobe is a rehearsal in opera and musical theater where the singers and orchestra focus on integrating their performance. The term comes from the German word for "seated rehearsal".
